We’ve had various challenges along the way and iTeam are absolutely superb. It’s usually a problem with our dental software systems. We update our practice equipment all the time, and at the moment are waiting for a new server which iTeam has specified for us. They’re liaising with the suppliers that support our dental equipment, such as x-ray machines or computerised probing and charting, and will download all the new software onto our new server. Despite being new to dental systems, they took it upon themselves to learn about the equipment so that they could deal directly with the specialist software providers. They’ve been very proactive like that, to the extent that they now act as the liaison, translating technical information into plain English for us!
The X-ray software works with our database so that patient notes are automatically updated. In fact all the equipment needs to be linked to patient records and iTeam is working with us on this presently because of the new server. Appointments are obviously booked up a long time in advance but fortunately iTeam are very prepared to come in over a weekend if necessary to keep the practice up and running.
If our server or systems went down we wouldn’t be able to see patients – basically we wouldn’t know who’s coming in or be able to access their notes, so it would be very detrimental to the business and our patients. iTeam’s support is really a priority for us and their service is second to none.
